The Pinot Noir "Lo Straniero" by Il Poggiarello is an elegant wine, an expression of the Piacenza tradition. Composed of 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Tintourier, it ferments at a controlled temperature to preserve freshness and aromas.
Aged 12 months in second and third passage barriques, it presents a ruby red with black cherry reflections and a scent of morello cherry and red fruit jam. On the palate it is harmonious and enveloping, with a balance between fruit and spices and a velvety finish, thanks to sweet tannins that guarantee longevity.
Served between 14 and 16°C, it pairs perfectly with tasty first courses, white meats, game and lightly matured cheeses, adding a touch of class to every occasion.
Characteristics
This wine has an intense ruby red color enriched by black cherry reflections, a detail that anticipates a visual experience of considerable depth. On the nose, authentic and persistent aromas of the grape emerge, in which aromas of morello cherry and red fruit jam stand out, a bouquet that recalls the generosity of its origin.
The taste reveals a noble and elegant character: it envelops the palate with a perfect balance between fruity and spicy notes, accompanied by a refined acidity that gives freshness and vivacity. The finish is soft and velvety, thanks to the presence of sweet tannins, and suggests an excellent capacity for aging, which will evolve and enrich itself further over time.
